Being a student is difficult for so many reasons. You’re “on” for what feels like 24/7–class, work, studying, projects, exams, clubs, teaching assistantships, research assistantships, internships, trying to have a social life and oh yes that 15 page paper due tomorrow.

For a lot of BIPOC first generation students, immigrants, and/or children of immigrants, the pressure to succeed is exponential. You’re trying to navigate your family’s expectations and an environment that isn’t always welcoming or supportive of people like you. It’s overwhelming. You start to feel like you don’t measure up, you feel anxious in class, and you’re not sure how to deal with all of it.

I get it. I can support you with this part of your journey so that you can regain your confidence, build coping tools, and achieve the goals you want for your life.

Let’s work together!
